At the airport, please have your passport and any required permits ready for check-in. Any items not required for the short tour can be securely stored at your hotel; only a small daypack should be carried on board. You will be guided to the domestic helipad area, where our ground team confirms your boarding details.

Boarding procedures include how to board the helicopter, where to stand, how to fasten and unfasten the restraint belt, how to communicate with the crew, and what to do when you hear the crew's instructions.

The helicopter climbs west from Kathmandu, crossing the Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and Langtang ranges before descending toward the Annapurna region and entering the Modi Khola gorge. Airborne time is normally about 65 to 80 minutes each way. The actual track and duration may change depending on cloud cover, wind, and air traffic control instructions.

The helicopter sets down on the helipad at Annapurna Base Camp, 4,130 metres above sea level. After landing, passengers remain seated until the crew confirms that it is safe to leave. The designated walking route is followed, and you are guided to the viewpoints around the camp. On the standard round-trip tour, you spend approximately 30 to 45 minutes at the base camp before re-boarding and returning to Kathmandu.

For the standard tour, no trek departure is involved — passengers re-board the helicopter after the landing stop and fly back to Kathmandu, where the experience ends. For trekkers who choose the one-way option, the helipad becomes the meeting point: the guide and support team coordinate trekking permits, porter arrangements, and accommodation plans before the trail continues. Travellers are advised to allow a reasonable time buffer in their itinerary in case the helicopter arrives later than scheduled due to weather or operational conditions.
